MA took on the exciting challenge of elevating The Wild Swan’s marketing efforts to boost footfall and encourage repeat custom. The Wild Swan is a charming country pub nestled in the scenic North Yorkshire village of Minskip, conveniently located just off the A1 and a short 10-minute drive from Wetherby. Renowned for serving fantastic, fresh, and locally sourced food and beverages.

Our Goal: 

The Wild Swan sought to increase its customer base and establish lasting relationships with locals and visitors alike. Our comprehensive marketing strategy encompassed visually engaging photography and videography, enticing email campaigns, and fostering strategic partnerships with local businesses to drive footfall and bookings.

Our Aim:

Our marketing aimed to increase footfall, to drive more foot traffic to The Wild Swan, positioning it as a must-visit destination for locals and travelers passing through the area. We also wanted to encourage repeat custom through developing engaging email campaigns to encourage previous patrons to return and enjoy The Wild Swan’s offerings again. We also decided to use visual storytelling to showcase the pub’s inviting interior, picturesque exterior, delectable food, extensive beverage selection, and the friendly team through photography and videography. We used marketing strategies to stablish new initiatives and collaborations with local businesses to create mutually beneficial relationships and encourage increased footfall.


We used visual content creation. The Marketing Adventures team conducted multiple on-site photography and videography sessions, capturing the pub’s inviting atmosphere, mouth-watering dishes, and friendly team members. Our tailored email campaigns were created, featuring exclusive offers and promotions, designed to entice previous customers to return for another delightful experience. We identified local businesses and attractions that complemented The Wild Swan’s offerings and established collaborative initiatives to attract their respective customer bases. We used engaging content, including visually appealing images and captivating videos, and distributed these through The Wild Swan’s social media channels and email newsletters to promote events, offers, and updates.


The strategic marketing efforts resulted in a notable increase in foot traffic, establishing The Wild Swan as a popular destination for both locals and travelers passing through the area. The email campaigns encouraging repeat visits saw a significant response, with many customers returning to enjoy The Wild Swan’s hospitality. The visually appealing content and enticing offers led to an average of 21 address taps and 57 website taps per month, indicating growing interest from new and returning customers in booking and visiting The Wild Swan.
